the Children Cote d`Ivoire is recruiting for Adolescent Girl and Young Women (AGYW) Technical Advisor, for a period of twelve (12) months (01) to be based in Abidjan.
The Position:
This position will be under the direct supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP).
The AGYW Technical Advisor tasks will include but not limited to the following:
- Be responsible for designing and implementing strengthening strategies to empower AGYW by reducing risk.
Work with key stakeholders (namely MEN, MSHP, MSFFE, MEMASFP, PNOEV) to strengthen and coordinate mechanisms to improve child protection, gender norms and comprehensive sexual education, HIV prevention, HIV/AIDS stigma reduction and social protection through Financial education and combination of social-economic approaches
- Provide technical assistance to mentors, facilitators for community mobilization
- Provide technical assistance to local NGO and mentors for training (comprehensive sexual education, HIV prevention, HIV/AIDS stigma reduction and Financial education and combination of social-economic approaches)
- Work with the Health Systems Strengthening Advisor and the Education Advisor to design and implement strategies to improve collaboration between the health, social and formal education and informal education sectors.
- Provide technical input in the design of social welfare related discussion modules for VSLAs (Village Savings & Loans Associations).
- Provide technical input in the design of a parenting program.
- Prepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports for his/ her scope of work.
Document best practices and lessons learnt and ensure they are incorporated into future programming.
- Ensure full implementation of the Children’s Child Protection/Safeguarding Policy.
- Adhere to internal the Children policies, including the Fraud Policy and the Whistle blowing Policy.
