Solidaridad West Africa is a not-for-profit organisation that supports the sustainable development of farmers and production systems in West Africa. We play a catalytic role by partnering with private sector companies and other stakeholders to foster the development of socially responsible, ecologically sound and profitable supply chains. Our activities in West Africa are focused on cocoa, gold, oil palm, cotton and other commodities.
As the Regional Expertise Centre (REC) within Solidaridad’s international network, we are part of a growing global movement advocating and supporting sustainable and responsible production and trade. Solidaridad focuses on stimulating sustainable supply chains through innovations in good practices, robust infrastructure, sustainable landscapes management and enabling policy environment.
The Solidaridad regional office is based in Accra, Ghana and currently has programmes and operations in Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria.

Solidaridad seeks to recruit highly qualified and motivated persons for the following positions for their operations in Ghana and within the West Africa sub-region. Position 1: Training, Capacity Building and Curriculum Manager
Reports to: Regional Director
Duty Station: Accra

   
Description du profil du candidat:

The position holder provides strategic leadership for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Solidaridad training/curriculum strategy and promotes the of learning processes.

Key responsibilities:

● Lead the development, structuring, implementation and continual improvement of the organization’s curricular and strategy
● Responsible for identifying, supporting and enhancing the of high quality, effective training/curricular resources.
● Lead the periodic assessment of different commodity training needs.
● Manage curricular and training resources with the support of needed external expertise.
● Establish a system for documenting, packaging and sharing lessons from the implementation of commodities training curricular.
● Provide applied experience in learning research and practice to develop training materials for internal and external partners.
● Work with respective project teams to integrate learning, experiences and outcomes into various curricular on annual basis.
● Mentor and coach staff to build organizational capacity and performance monitoring of key training activities
● Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Formal Education and Experience (Competencies)

• Master’s degree in a discipline relevant to training and capacity building and other related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in similar positions with other reputable organisations (international organisations, consultancies, bilateral agencies etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in training curriculum development and management
• Excellent command of MS-Office, Google suite.
• Good communications and writing skills
