Main responsibilities: As HR Business Partner, you are responsible for the tactical execution of HR policies and strategic initiatives within your perimeter. On a daily basis, you will be assisting managers and employees with HR activities and compliance. Your responsibilities will include, without being limited to: Admin and compliance: Ensures admin processes are running smoothly Ensures admin requests are treated according to agreed SLAs Ensures Jumia Services works under established guidelines and controls Challenges and controls variable payroll elements Development: Identifies needs, builds training plan and delivers appropriate trainings Builds adapted hiring processes and tools for mass and single recruitments Delivers people processes to ensure employee capabilities meet current and future standards Identifies talents and builds succession planning Provides technical expertise and policy guidance in talent management (strategic staffing, performance management & career development, learning & development) and effective staff-management relationship Uses data analysis to influence strategic decisions and to address organizational challenges to talent management Promotes and coordinates initiatives that support organizational change Promotes the organizational goals for gender equity and geographic diversity Drives the achievement of HR results by leveraging resources, developing performance standards and results in planning and monitoring Work environment: Implements satisfaction/motivation barometers, measures and acts accordingly Organizes appropriate events to strengthen sense of belonging Ensure an healthy and safe environment under internal and legal regulations Coaching and advice: Improves the performance of others by empowering a strong leadership and coaching culture Works closely with leadership to build, implement and enforce the HR initiatives (policies, programs, processes ...) Conducts onboarding and exit interviews and shares feedback with partners to identify trends and risks Provides guidance and direction to employees with emphasis on maintaining a high performing work environment Meets with managers and employees to discuss issues and provides guidance on resolving them Central HR participation: Promotes feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes Ensures HR practices are aligned with business needs and makes recommendations to HR leadership when changes are appropriate Provides input to the design and development of company-wide HR initiatives and ensures they are aligned with business needs We offer Building the biggest logistics platform in Africa A unique experience in an entrepreneurial, yet structured environment The opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team working around the world An unparalleled personal and professional growth as our longer-term objective is to train the next generation of leaders for our future internet ventures |

Required skills & qualifications: Acts as a trusted partner and advisor to managers and staff globally on all HR matters Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface with business and function leaders in a global matrix organization Outstanding communication, coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization Ability to work in a collaborative manner and diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions Passionate, wants to make a difference in the organization Approachable and responsive, able to connect with employees at all levels Strong customer service focus Supportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment Ability to diffa tense situation Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance & confidentiality Strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement Understanding of HR concepts and principles with expertise in operations management Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational & documentation skills Proponent of the segmented HR model, understands the benefits Familiarity in supporting change management processes Talent to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results - while retaining all information Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence Minimum 5 years` experience in HR Master degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field is required Excellent knowledge of English and French(verbal and written) is required, an additional language is a plus strong communication skills are critical Thorough working knowledge of MS Office,Excel |
